Do You Know a Hero?

Nominate Your Hero for the Red Cross Firelands Real Heroes Awards
Do you know a firefighter who entered a burning building to rescue a trapped family? A passerby who jumped into a frozen lake to pull a drowning child to safety? A neighbor who administered CPR to a total stranger? A dog that alerted its family to a fire?

Each year, the Red Cross honors individuals whose extraordinary acts of courage and kindness make them someone's hero those everyday people who have put themselves in harm's way or have even risked their own lives to save another.

We need your help to identify local heroes in Huron and Erie Counties for our 2012 Real Heroes Awards which will be awarded at a special ceremony March 17, 2012. If you know of an individual whose heroic and livesaving actions are deserving of recognition, please download a nomination form now.
