ARMED FORCES EMERGENCY

SERVICES MISSION

 

In keeping with the American Red Cross

mission of helping people in crises,

Armed Forces Emergency Services will

keep American families in touch with their

military loved ones around the world.

 

The Armed Forces Emergency Services Program provides members of the U.S.  Armed Forces and their families with the following primary services --

  • Reporting and Communications:  Firelands Chapter will assist Service Members and their families send emergency messages regarding the death   or serious illness of a family member, the birth of a child or other family emergencies.

  • The Red Cross collaborates with Military Aid Societies in providing financial assistance when an urgent personal or family crisis arises.

  • Information and Referral to additional community resources.

      Additional services include --

  • Counseling

  • Disaster Relief

  • Health Services and related training

  • Trained volunteers to assist in the delivery of Armed Forces Emergency Services or in a variety of Red Cross Services.
