Cedar Point’s Magnum, Mix 102.7 WCPZ, 1450 WLEC, and Coast Country team up for Red Cross:
American Red Cross, Firelands Chapter and Radio Stations: Mix 102.7 WCPZ, 1450 WLEC, and Coast Country announce the availability of VIP rides on Magnum. Although bidding on the 36 available seats will not start until April 22, here’s some preliminary information you should know:
Guests must be 48” tall or taller to ride the Magnum.
- The top 36 bidders will be seated.
- Bids must start at $75 and may be increased at anytime until bidding is closed.
- Bids will not be posted until they have been confirmed by phone call with a credit card to assure legitimacy.
- The bidding process will officially open on April 22 and will be closed the morning of May 13 at 8:30 am. It is our intention to keep you informed through this website. We will provide bidding and bid updates by email. To bid, simply click on the “Place a Bid” link at the top of this page. Also, the top 36 bidders will be listed so you can check the status of your bid.
- Payments for successful bids will be accepted at the park on May 16, as part of check-in. Cash, checks, money order and credit card payments will be accepted. Checks should be made out to American Red Cross.
- Successful bidders will select seats with the highest bidder choosing first.
- Successful bidders will receive a ticket to Opening Day, a commemorative T-Shirt, the first two (2) rides of the day on Magnum, a commemorative group photo, lunch at the Breakers East Conference Room, and a commemorative medallion. The medallion will be personally engraved and will be sent to riders some time after the event.
- Payments made to American Red Cross for this event are tax-deductable. A letter certifying your donation to this event, less the value of the park admission, will be handed out the day of the event.
- All applicable height requirements will be enforced. The minimum height requirement is 48”. (The ride may not accommodate guests of exceptional size).
